Our knowledge in the built environment, enables us to create spaces that reflect an intrinsic human experience, through well designed spaces that address every level of humanity and considers all the human senses.
Our passion for interior design and the psychology behind design is what separates us from the rest. We believe that design is not solely about the look and feel but the combination of aesthetics meets function. Who we are?
Jacoline Phalane is a gifted interior designer who strives for mastery in her craft and holds a BA Degree in Interior Design at the internationally renowned Greenside Design Center. In 2015, she battled it out with 13 other gifted contestants for 13 weeks on the SABC 3 show, Win a Home Design Edition season 2. She consistently impressed the judges with her technique and fresh approach to design and was ultimately crowned the winner of the show. As a testament to her talent, her work has been featured in Elle Decoration, Plascon’s Spaces magazine, and in a Nedbank advert. She has been profiled on SABC 3’s Top Billing and Afternoon Express Show. In 2015 her design was nominated for a Loerie, which honors creative excellence not only in South Africa but in Africa and the Middle East. Jacoline is a creative director and strives towards making JS Designs one of Africa’s largest black owned construction company’s. That contributes towards ground breaking developments in Africa’s rural area’s she hopes that these developments will change communities for generations to come
Tshepo Phalane is our project manager he is responsible for controlling budgets, negotiating with subcontracts, and providing day-to-day communication with the project team to ensure jobs remain on schedule and within budget. A team player, Tshepo holds an excellent track record of strong working relationships with home owners, architects, and engineers, resulting in successful construction experiences. He creates a schedule and timeline with the intention to successfully execute each phase. After years of running a tight ship when it comes to making project goals to inspire a sense of shared purpose within the project for all team member. Tshepo has found that communication and collaboration are more efficient allowing, the team to meet goals and insuring quality work. Tshepo is a farmer at heart and aspirers to be the first black interior farmer. This term refers to framing fibers and manufacturing the final fabric or textile to be used in interior spaces.
